The capsule hotel is quite an interesting experience. We stayed in one at Hiroshima, and when we passed back through Osaka. Its not the most comfortable night sleep, but when you're just looking for a place to crash, it is a cheap option. The ones we stayed in ranged from about $25-30/ Night. They are designed for business people who may want to stay in the city after work, and can b much cheaper than a cab ride home if you've had a few to many drinks.
